From Canowindra follow the brown and white tourist signs traveling north west along Tilga street and Longs Corner Road until you find the “Balloon Fridge” outside our vineyard. We are approximately 8 kilometers on the northern edge of  town. Click here to reach a live Google map of how to find us.

Cellar Door Hours

Open seven days -  10:00am – 4:00pm

Open on public holidays, normal hours. (closed Christmas day, Boxing day and Good Friday)

As we handcraft all our wines on the premises, most weekends you will find us “winemaking” in some form or other so a visit to the cellar door offers more than a wine tasting experience.

Wine Education

As we have our own winemaker on site we are able to offer “Wine Workshops” for groups of 6 to 15 people with prior arrangement. The most popular of these has been the “Red Blending Workshop” where our winemaker will show you in two and a half hours how we blend the best reds together. This usually includes selected barrel room tastings of the components.

Every participant gets to have a go at their own blend and if you stay for ploughmans lunch we put the top two workshop blends on the table for everyone’s enjoyment. Expand your wine education at Toms Waterhole by subscribing to our regular and informative newsletter.

Food At The Cellar Door

Our alfresco winery cafe is open for lunches Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

We do fabulous ploughman’s lunches featuring mostly our own produce – Available 11.00am to 2.00pm.

Gourmet pizzas from our traditional brick wood fired oven are also available for groups of 10 to 40 people. Bookings are essential as it takes several hours to heat up the oven.

Hot Air Ballooning

Canowindra is known as The Balloon Capital of Australia and we own and fly our own hot air balloons.
