Ploughman’s Lunches
We do fabulous ploughman’s lunches featuring mostly our own produce. Available 11.00am to 2.00pm Friday to Monday (bookings essential for groups of 6 or more). Other days phone to check our availability. This is a traditional country working man’s lunch using home preserves, pickles, chutneys and smoked meats. Of course it always finishes with espresso coffee.
Woodfired Pizza Under The Stars ( or in the winery.. )
For groups of 10 or more we will, with prior notice, fire up the woodfired oven for an evening of winetasting with the winemaker and all the woodfired pizza you can eat finishing with desert and espresso coffee. A night to remember especially at vintage time when many pizza eaters have been photographed foot stomping vats of grapes.
Parties and Functions
Graham and Jan love to party! Why not book your next party, work function or celebrate a special occasion at our winery cafe? All functions start with a complimentary wine tasting.
We cater for up to 40 people for lunch or dinner.
Woodfired Oven
With our custom built woodfired oven we do a number of things including woodfired breads like ciabatta, pumpkin and canola meal. plus smoke our own meats and make our regionally famous pizzas.
Cheese & Salami
Try our home made cheeses and salamis which we serve on our ploughmans lunches.
Vinegar
We are makers of organic wine vinegar. Made from certified Organic grapes and naturally fermented for three years in open fermentation vats to “catch” the naturally occurring airborne acetic acid bacteria. We do believe we have the only Organic wine vinegar “mother” culture in Australia. It’s great for use on salads, in cooking and if you do a Google search you may even find there are some proclaimed health benefits associated with it’s daily consumption. It meets the Australian Standard for wine vinegar at four percent acetic acid per litre. This is strong enough to be used as a sterilising agent. There is no residual alcohol as it has all been converted to acetic acid by those special airborne “Bugs”.
Olives
Yes………. we pickle olives including an old recipe for dry salted olives which are available as palette cleansers at the Cellar Door. We source these from a neighbours tree as we are too busy to think about planting olive trees and waiting even longer than grapes for a crop.
